Located on the north side of beautiful village of St. Peters Bay in eastern P.E.I., this one time supermarket now houses P.E.I.'s only pewter manufactirer.

St.Peter's Bay Craft & Giftware produces eastern Canada's largest line of pewter products from jewellery to personalized golf markers. Under the Cape Tryon brand, production of a large selection of celtic, classic and nautical designs takes place on a daily basis during the peak season.

In 2009, we are introducing a completely new line of Pewter Platform Jewellery specially designed with pewter figures, abalone shell or selected earthen stones for a distintly defining look. If you are looking for something ccompletly different to wear, then you'll love this line.

St. Peters Bay Craft & Giftware is also the home of Sprout Heads Ceramics products which features potato shaped tableware, which makes for great inexpensive gifts for yourself or that special someone back home. At this location we also produce the award winning Firings line of ceramic jewellery using unique designs, molds, solid and multi color finishes. This line is popular with the younger crowd so bring along the young at heart.

BIKE TO THE BEACH
Exercise...Nature...Culture...Fun...RelaxationAvailable June 22----September 11 Weekdays OnlyRide the famous confederation Trail to experience the real P.E.I. Traveling from St. Peters Bay, through Selkirk to Harmony Junction, on to Baltic and then to Basin Head Beach in Eastern Kings. Not for the faint of heart, but a nice ride for the fit minded person. Approximiately 40K.

Biking is easy along the rolled stone dust surface that takes you over the hills and Biking Biking is easy through the woods to colourful scenes of cultivated fields, shaded pathways, lupin stems and iris blooms. No rush here....traveling at your own pace, you come across plenty of rest stops for water breaks or a quick snack, but keep a lookout; wildlife also travels these pathways. An abundance of birds call the trtail home as well as squirrels, chipmunks, snakes, rabbits and more then one family of foxes.

Road test our island backroads. Leave the trail at Route 302, marker point 3808 and head east towards Red Point. The road is straight but narrow with a good shoulder to lean on. Take The Snake.....Road that is!!!!! Watch for it on the left off Route 302, the Snake is Eastern Kings abbreviated version of "The Long and Winding Road". Past the fields and working farms, the Snake is just a short run down to Highway 16 on the Points East Coastal Drive. At the T intersection, look left. Just a stones throw away at the bottom of the hill is the road that will take you to Basin Head Beach.

Friendly Faces await you as you checkin with our friendly staff the Sun Sand & Surf Shop, who will take possession of the biking equipment and treat you to a cold water. Washrooms showers and change facilities are all onsite. Your excursion entitles you to a 10% giftshop discount for your new beach gear, cool glasses, or Basin Head and Singing Sands Tees. Beach chairs are also available to borrow, but quantities are limited.

Take a trip through time with the select guided tour through the Fisheries Museum that Education is next on your adgenda. A knowledgible guide will navigate you through a large selection of photos, artifacts and interesting nautical tools, that tell the story of Prince Edward islands's inshore fishery.

Interior Displays HOW ABOUT SOME FUN????

Join the locals in the tradition of "Jumping the Wharf". Drop, jump, splash or cannonball directly into the Basinhead Run from the walking bridge adjoining both sides of the wharf. Kids of all ages splash into 15 feet of the cool waters of the Northumberland Strait. This is just good clean fun you'll never tire of and remember fondly.

JUST RELAX

Relax...just take the afternoon to lounge about the white sandy beach in a folding beach chair. Shell search the twelve miles of shoreline, swim the warmest waters in the Northeast or walk the beach and let the sands sing to you. Basin Head is home to the famous Singing sands, so kick off those Flip flops and listen as you stroll along.

Pick Up Service

At a preappointed time, we will pick you up and transport you back to St. Peters Bay where you pick up your Personalized Certificate of Achievement. Use your discount coupons to shop awhile or have a hot chowder from one of the resturants in the area.
